Here you will find the ramblings of “The Recovering Prodigal” as I stumble and bumble through a life of trying to follow Jesus Christ, and somehow manage to bring him Glory.
As for Why I call myself “The Recovering Prodigal”, it’s really not all that interesting of a story.
In Luke Chapter 15, verses 11-32, we see the parable of the Prodigal Son.
From the very first time I read this story, it spoke to me.
A brash young man, makes a ridiculous requests that shames himself and shames his family. Then he runs off and lives like the world, only to discover that when the money ran out, so did his so called friends. So, in abject defeat and hard learned humility, he goes back and begs for forgiveness. His Father welcomes him home and celebrates his return, only to suffer the wrath and jealousy of the older brother.
This is Me. My name is Michael, but that’s not important. I had a very comfortable life, then I thought I knew better and ran off to my own thing, and ended flat on face. I crawled my way back to Jesus, crawled my way back to church, and dragged my stupid self back down the “narrow path” one more time.
This “Blog” is me, making an attempt to write down what the Lord is doing in me, to me, through me, etc in a prayer that maybe some other “Black Sheep” will have a divine appointment to read my babblings and G-d will use it to open their heart to Him.
